Possible Causes
Weak Wi-Fi signal at charger location, Incorrect Wi-Fi password or SSID, Faulty Wi-Fi module on Easee main board, Router blocking outbound connections or ports
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Network issues usually do not prevent basic charging, but they affect app control and updates.
- 1. Check router and internet: Confirm that your home Wi-Fi and internet connection are working by testing with another device near the charger.
- 2. Signal strength: Move a smartphone to the charger's location and check Wi-Fi signal bars. If weak, consider relocating the router or adding a Wi-Fi extender.
- 3. Reconfigure Wi-Fi: In the Easee app, go to network settings and re-enter the correct SSID and password. Ensure you are using a supported frequency band (typically 2.4 GHz).
- 4. Check router settings: Disable any MAC filtering or firewall rules that might block the charger. Ensure DHCP is enabled so the charger can obtain an IP address.
- 5. Power-cycle charger and router: Restart both the router and the charger to clear temporary network glitches.
- 6. Use alternative connectivity: If the Wi-Fi module appears faulty, consider using cellular connectivity (if supported) or contact Easee support for module replacement.
