Possible Causes

Failed Wi-Fi module on the communication board, Loose antenna connection, Firmware corruption in the communication module, Excessive RF interference at the installation site

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Network troubleshooting does not require opening live power sections, but turn off power if you remove covers.

  • Step 1 – Reboot the charger: Turn the breaker OFF for 2 minutes, then ON. Many communication faults clear after a full power cycle.
  • Step 2 – Check Wi-Fi signal: Use a phone at the charger location to verify a strong Wi-Fi signal. If weak, move the router or add a Wi-Fi extender.
  • Step 3 – Re-enter network credentials: Using the "Electrify Home" app or front panel, forget and re-add the Wi-Fi network. Ensure the correct SSID and password are used and that the network is 2.4 GHz if required by the charger.
  • Step 4 – Inspect antenna (if external): With power OFF, ensure any external Wi-Fi antenna is firmly screwed in and the internal antenna cable is connected to the communication board.
  • Step 5 – Firmware update: If possible, update firmware via USB or local method as described in the manual. If E11 persists, the Wi-Fi/communication board may need replacement.
