Mysa Intermittent Wi-Fi Connectivity

The thermostat frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi and appears offline in the Mysa app.

Possible Causes

Weak 2.4 GHz signal at thermostat location, Router band steering or channel congestion, Failing Wi-Fi radio on thermostat

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No high-voltage work is required.

Steps to improve connectivity:

  • Check signal strength: Stand near the thermostat with a phone and check Wi-Fi signal. If weak, move the router closer or add a 2.4 GHz extender.
  • Use 2.4 GHz only: Ensure the thermostat is connected to a 2.4 GHz SSID and that band steering is not forcing it to 5 GHz.
  • Change Wi-Fi channel: In the router settings, select a less congested 2.4 GHz channel (1, 6, or 11).
  • Re-add Wi-Fi: In the thermostat menu, forget the current network and re-add it.

If dropouts continue despite strong signal and proper router settings, the Wi-Fi module on the thermostat may be failing. Replace the thermostat.
