dF
The display alternates between temperature and dF; the unit may pause cooling periodically.
Defrost Mode Indication / Defrost Cycle Active
E1
Digital display shows E1, and the cabinet temperature is much warmer than the set temperature.
Upper Compartment Temperature Sensor Failure
E2
Display shows E2, and the lower zone does not cool correctly in a dual-zone Transtherm wine cabinet.
Lower Compartment Temperature Sensor Failure
E3
Display shows E3, and the compressor runs erratically or not at all.
Ambient Temperature Sensor Failure
E4
Display shows E4, and the cabinet temperature fluctuates widely or the unit shuts down unexpectedly.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Defrost Sensor Failure
E5
Display shows E5, and the compressor does not start or stops shortly after starting.
Compressor Overload / High Temperature Protection Fault
E6
Display shows E6, and the interior light or fan behaves erratically; the temperature may drift.
Main Control Board Communication / Logic Fault
E7
Display shows E7, and the humidity function does not operate correctly (too dry or too humid).
Humidity Sensor / Humidity Control Fault
E8
The display shows E8, and the interior fan does not run or runs at an incorrect speed.
Evaporator Fan Motor Fault
E9
The display shows E9, and the cabinet does not cool; the compressor may not start.
Compressor Drive / Relay Fault
Er
The display shows Er or flashes all segments; controls may be unresponsive.
General Control Panel / Display Communication Error
H1
The display shows H1, and the cabinet temperature is higher than the setpoint; an alarm may sound.
High Temperature Alarm Condition
Hi
The display shows Hi instead of a temperature; the interior feels very warm.
Temperature Out of Range High / Sensor Overrange
L1
The display shows L1, and the cabinet temperature is lower than the setpoint; wine may be too cold.
Low Temperature Alarm / Overcooling
Lo
The display shows Lo, and the cabinet interior light may be dim; the unit may not start.
Low Voltage / Power Supply Fault
Symptom
Clicking sound from the compressor area and no cooling.
Compressor Short Cycling on Overload
Symptom
Condensation forming on the glass door or around the gasket.
Excessive Condensation / Door Seal or Ambient Humidity Issue
Symptom
Excessive frost or ice buildup on the back wall or around the evaporator.
Defrost System Failure / Air Infiltration
Symptom
Interior fan is not running; cold spots and uneven temperature inside the cabinet.
Evaporator Fan Non-Operation
Symptom
Interior light does not turn on when the door is opened.
Interior LED Lighting Failure
Symptom
Loud humming, rattling, or vibrating noise during operation.
Excessive Vibration / Mechanical Noise
Symptom
Strong musty or moldy odor inside the wine cabinet.
Microbial Growth / Odor Contamination
Symptom
The alarm beeps intermittently, but no error code is shown; the temperature appears normal.
Door Ajar / Alarm Sensor Nuisance Trigger
Symptom
The cabinet cycles on and off very frequently (short cycling).
Short Cycling / Control Instability
Symptom
The cabinet makes a gurgling or hissing sound even when the compressor is off.
Normal Refrigerant Flow Noise / Expansion Sounds
Symptom
The cabinet's exterior side walls feel very warm to the touch.
Condenser Heat Transfer Through Cabinet Walls
Symptom
The condenser fan at the rear is not running; the compressor is hot and the cabinet is warm.
Condenser Fan Failure
Symptom
The display is lit, but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently.
Keypad / Touch Control Failure
Symptom
The door does not close properly or pops open slightly after closing.
Door Alignment / Gasket Seal Problem
Symptom
The lower zone cools, but the upper zone is warm in a dual-zone Transtherm cabinet.
Upper Zone Cooling Failure
Symptom
The temperature display is inaccurate compared to an independent thermometer.
Temperature Calibration / Sensor Drift
Symptom
The upper zone cools, but the lower zone is warm in a dual-zone Transtherm cabinet.
Lower Zone Cooling Failure
Symptom
The wine cooler does not cool at all; the interior is at room temperature, and the compressor is silent.
No Cooling / Compressor Not Starting
Symptom
The wine cooler runs continuously and never reaches the set temperature.
Insufficient Cooling Capacity / Refrigeration System Underperformance
Symptom
Water pooling at the bottom of the cabinet or on the floor in front of the wine cooler.
Condensate Drain Blockage / Water Management Fault
Symptom
Wine cooler is completely dead: no display, no light, no sound.
No Power / Main Supply Failure
Symptom
Wine cooler runs, but the interior temperature is too cold even at a high setpoint.
