Possible Causes

Weak Wi-Fi signal at the charger location, Incorrect Wi-Fi credentials stored in the charger, Faulty Wi-Fi module on the Pod Point PCB, Internet outage or router misconfiguration

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: This fault affects smart features but may not stop basic charging if the unit is configured for offline operation.

  • Step 1 – Check internet connection: Verify that your home internet and router are working by testing another device (phone/laptop).
  • Step 2 – Check Wi-Fi signal strength: Stand near the charger with your phone and check Wi-Fi bars. If the signal is weak, consider moving the router, adding a Wi-Fi extender, or using Ethernet (if supported).
  • Step 3 – Re-pair in Pod Point app: Follow the Pod Point app instructions to reconnect the charger to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure you enter the correct SSID and password.
  • Step 4 – Reboot charger: Turn the power OFF at the isolator/consumer unit for 30 seconds, then back ON. Wait a few minutes for the charger to reconnect to the cloud.
  • Step 5 – Hardware check: If the charger never appears online despite good Wi-Fi and correct setup, the internal Wi-Fi module or communication board may be faulty and require replacement by a technician.
