Possible Causes
Incorrect Wi-Fi password or band, weak Wi-Fi signal at dock, faulty Wi-Fi module on main PCB, router blocking device.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No electrical disassembly is required for basic checks.
- 1. Check network: Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network (most Rowenta robots do not support 5 GHz only). Confirm internet access with another device.
- 2. Reset Wi-Fi on robot: Use the Wi-Fi reset button combination (see Rowenta manual) to clear previous settings.
- 3. Move closer to router: Place the dock and robot within 3–5 m (10–15 ft) of the router during setup.
- 4. App pairing: In the Rowenta app, follow the pairing wizard carefully, entering the correct Wi-Fi password and selecting the correct SSID.
- 5. Router settings: Disable MAC filtering or add the robot’s MAC address to the allowed list. Ensure the router is not blocking new devices.
- 6. Hardware issue: If the robot never enters pairing mode or always fails at the same step, the Wi-Fi module on the main PCB may be defective.
