AL
Display shows 'AL' or alarm icon, beeping, temperature may be high, or a sensor-related error is present.
General Alarm Condition (Temperature or Sensor)
E1
Freezer beeps and displays E1; the temperature fluctuates or does not reach the set point.
Cabinet Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E10
E10 error, the interior light may work, but cooling functions are disabled.
Door Switch or Door Status Circuit Fault
E2
Freezer shows E2 and may over-freeze or not freeze properly.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E3
Display shows E3, compressor may run continuously or not at all.
Ambient/Room Temperature Sensor Failure
E4
Freezer shows E4 and may stop defrosting, or ice builds up on the evaporator.
Defrost Sensor or Defrost Circuit Fault
E5
E5 displayed, compressor does not start or stops shortly after starting.
Compressor Start Protection / Overload Fault
E6
E6 error, display may be blank or unresponsive; the interior light may still work.
Communication Error Between Display PCB and Main Control Board
E7
E7 displayed, alarm sounds, and the temperature reading may be unrealistic (e.g., -88°C or +88°C).
Temperature Sensor Range / Calibration Error
E8
E8 error, freezer may not cool, and the fan may not run on no-frost models.
Evaporator Fan Motor Fault
E9
E9 displayed, a high temperature alarm may be active, and the compressor may not run.
Compressor Drive / Inverter Fault (on inverter models)
H
Display shows flashing 'H' or 'HI', an audible alarm sounds, and the freezer interior is warm.
High Temperature Alarm Condition
L
Display shows 'L' or a lock icon, and buttons do not respond.
Control Panel Child Lock Activated
Symptom
Chest freezer lid will not stay open or slams shut.
Lid Hinge or Counterbalance Failure
Symptom
Condensation or water droplets forming on the exterior cabinet or around the door seal.
Condensation / Mullion Heater or Seal Issue
Symptom
Digital display works, but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently.
Keypad / Touch Control Failure
Symptom
Excessive frost or ice build-up on interior walls and around the door opening.
Air Ingress / Door Seal Failure
Symptom
Freezer baskets or drawers are difficult to slide, sticking due to ice.
Drawer Icing and Mechanical Obstruction
Symptom
Freezer door difficult to open immediately after closing (suction effect).
Normal Pressure Equalization / Check Valve Behavior
Symptom
Freezer exterior side walls feel very hot to the touch.
Condenser-in-Wall Heating (May Be Normal or Overheating)
Symptom
Freezer interior light not working, cooling normal.
Interior Light Circuit Failure
Symptom
Freezer interior smells bad or of chemicals, even after cleaning.
Odour Contamination or Possible Refrigerant Leak Smell
Symptom
Freezer interior too warm at the top, colder at the bottom, uneven freezing.
Air Circulation / Fan or Ducting Issue
Symptom
Freezer interior warm, compressor runs continuously, heavy ice build-up on rear panel or evaporator.
Defrost System Failure
Symptom
Freezer leaking water onto the floor at the front or underneath.
Defrost Drain Blockage or Condensation Management Issue
Symptom
Freezer makes a loud rattling or clattering noise when the compressor starts or stops.
Loose Internal Components or Refrigerant Piping
Symptom
Freezer making a loud humming or buzzing noise from the compressor area.
Compressor or Mounting Vibration Noise
Symptom
Freezer not cooling at all, interior light works, compressor not running.
Compressor Start Circuit Failure
Symptom
Freezer not freezing properly, interior fan not running on no-frost model.
Evaporator Fan Not Operating
Symptom
Freezer over-freezing, temperature much lower than set point, food rock solid and brittle.
Thermostat or Temperature Control Failure
Symptom
Freezer produces a high-pitched whine or squeal from the fan area.
Worn or Iced-Up Evaporator Fan
Symptom
Freezer runs but does not reach set temperature, only slight cooling.
Refrigerant Loss or Partial Blockage
Symptom
Freezer runs continuously, condenser coils or rear panel extremely hot.
Poor Condenser Heat Dissipation
Symptom
Freezer temperature fluctuates widely; sometimes too warm, sometimes too cold.
Unstable Temperature Control
Symptom
Freezer trips the household RCD or breaker when plugged in or when the compressor starts.
Earth Leakage or Short Circuit
Symptom
Freezer will not start at all; no lights, no display.
